We are looking for Waiter / Waitress to work onboard River Ships Winter season 2022 and Season 2023:

Objective / functional objectives
Customer perspective

Achieving guest satisfaction and standards in the service outlets (restaurant, in the bar, lounge, back lounge, sundeck) in accordance with the specifications of the catalogue of services (CoS)
Financial perspective
Adhering to budget; onboard revenue, beverage cost, consumables and cleaning material in the Service Department
Process perspective
Assuring compliance with the processes and quality controls in accordance with the F&B handbook, to be able to offer consistent quality in the restaurant
Employee development perspective
Our company actively supports talents with potential in the professional career and encourage professional education and development
Responsibility
Strategy and planning
Jointly responsible for:
1. Providing the best possible running of the operational organization in his / her department
2. Establishing standard & quality assurance for the concept of hygiene to comply with the hygiene regulations (HACCP)
Leadership and coordination
Jointly responsible for:
3. Assuring professional cooperation with all departments on the vessel
4. Coordination and controlling of the own working schedule
5. Strictly observing and controlling of the predefined working hours

Processes and procedures
Jointly responsible for:
6. Maintaining personal quality checks in his / her department to ensure the required guest satisfaction
7. Ensuring the careful storage and handling of all working materials and equipment (reporting of apparatus and machinery maintenance to avoid unnecessary replacement investments)
8. Assisting with delivery of goods. Responsible for careful and proper handling of beverages. Assisting in creating inventories in the restaurant and/or bar.
9. Enforcing hygiene and impeccable cleanliness in his / her department and the pre-specified appearance in his / her area

Organization and administration
Jointly responsible for:
10. Taking part of the pre-opening / closing phase of the vessel
11. Responsible for cash balancing in the service outlets
12. Daily preparing of mise en place in the service outlets; professional preparation of beverages; service of beverages and food in the bar, restaurant, lounge, back lounge and sundeck
13. Enforcing the cleaning and polishing of glasses, cutlery and china in the service outlets
14. Assisting F&B activities and special occasions (cocktail receptions, tea time, late night snacks etc.)

Communication and representation
Jointly responsible for:
15. Immediate reporting of special incidents to the Maître d’hôtel, depending on importance and if bar related also to the Chef de Bar
16. Welcoming and bidding farewell to guests in the restaurant at each meal and bar / lounge
17. Ensuring conformity of predefined appearance / uniformity requirements and proper body care
18. Attending all official events on board according to the instructions of the superior
19. Frequent guests contact to promote good customers services and events in the restaurant and bar / lounge

Control and reporting
Jointly responsible for:
20. Ensuring compliance with the active and passive information flows in accordance with the organigram
21. Responsible for quality control according to the requirements of the catalogue of services
22. Enforcing controlling of the costs and adherence the budget

Special tasks
Jointly responsible for:
23. Active supporting in all areas (Restaurant, Bar etc.) if necessary and according to the instructions of the superior
24. Participating in the crew show (if crew show is foreseen)
25. Participating in restaurant and/or bar meetings and menu briefing according to the instructions of the superior
26. Participation in regularly trainings
27. Assisting with waste disposal and crew mess cleaning according to the instructions of the superior
28. Assisting with luggage handling at check-in and check-out according to the instructions of the superior
