Job Objective and Key Accountabilities

  • You will be responsible for the smooth operation of your assigned expedition cruise vessels
  • You will provide the required nautical support, in order to achieve the desired levels of safe operational performance and commercial effectiveness
  • You will be the link to owners and ensure effective nautical, technical and commercial communication
  • You will ensure the environmental compliance policies are upheld

Education & Work Experience:

  • M.Sc or B.Sc in Maritime Studies/ Naval Engineering or Naval Architecture or
  • Master/ Senior officer’s Certificate of Competency
  • At least 3 years sailing experience as Master/ Senior Officer, or
  • At least 6 years’ experience as LPSQ superintendent in a ship management/ owning company

Job Specific Skills:

  • Experience in the cruise-industry is mandatory: You gained it either during your time on board in a nautical senior position or in a similar shore position
  • Knowledge of Quality Standards, environmental and safety standards
  • Knowledge of Legislation concerning Quality and Safety
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in customer management
  • Knowledge of the local / regional maritime market conditions
  • You love working in a diverse and multi-cultural team
  • Good people management skills
  • Fluency in English
  • PC literacy
