The Relief Retail Manager works onboard as Retail Manager for 2 months and Assistant Retail Manager for 2 months. The position oversees the luxury boutique, gourmet deli, crew shop and onboard trunk shows.

The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the operations of the Retail outlets onboard by maximizing revenue-generating opportunities and minimizing operating expenses without negatively affecting the products or our Residents and Guests. The Retail Manager Relief assists in ensuring that all Retail areas maintain a professional and visually enticing appearance and appropriate merchandise supply. This position oversees the luxury boutique, gourmet deli, crew shop and onboard trunk shows.

Responsibilities

• Exceed Residents & Guests expectations with all aspects of onboard Retail operations
• Deliver a luxury customer experience by providing authentic, anticipatory service for our Residents & Guests
• Ensure all Retail areas maintain a professional and visually enticing appearance and appropriate merchandise supply
• Develop product knowledge skills and remain aware of current inventory and collections
• Ensure Residents & Guests are greeted promptly when entering a Retail area
• Retail & Asst Retail Manager to plan and order merchandise
• Work with Florida office to organize Trunk Shows
• Receive stores, unpack and check inventory, stock shelves
• Ensure all Retail areas contain the appropriate stock levels and that the stock selection is appropriate for the Ship’s location and its intended demographic
• Monitor internal stock distribution to and from Retail Operations and ensure that all stock moved from one retail/storage area to another is correctly and immediately recorded through MMS
• Responsible for local purchases for Fredy’s Deli Marketplace as well as the purchase of non- retail items such as Boutique decorations
• Ensure that all items delivered to the vessel comply with Company specifications
• Drive and support our goal to “Bring the Destination Alive” in both Fredy’s Deli Marketplace and the Boutique

Hiring Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience on a luxury cruise ship, in a private country club or similar, luxury hotel or resort
• Experienced in sales generation with proven track record in achieving sales results and excellent customer satisfaction
• Proven experience as Retail Manager or any other related managerial role
• Knowledge of retail management
• Shrewd business sense and well-developed commercial awareness
• Previous experience in accounting / finance, fashion management, marketing, business administration and management will be an advantage
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Analytical mind and familiarity with data analysis principles
• Experience in working in a multi-cultural environment
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills
• Good computer skills to include Word, Excel and Outlook
• Working knowledge of point of sales systems, retail management systems, inventory management systems, Fidelio and computerized reservation systems
• Able to read, write and speak fluently in English
• One additional language (German, French, Italian, Spanish) preferred
