We are seeking an experienced salesperson with a clean background and an eye for design who delights in meeting new people from all over the world. You would bring your knowledge, enthusiasm and stamina to our small team while guiding our customers to find lasting pieces of jewelry and art during their visit to Alaska's inside passage.

You are detail-oriented and observant. You value efficiency and teamwork yet can work independently when needed. You strive for success with a strong work ethic and can take constructive criticism in stride. You employ your intuition, sincerity, and savvy salesmanship to create desire and help our guests select pieces they will treasure. As a family run business, we have expanded our vision into reviving an historic pulp Mill at the foot of the Tongass National Forest to create the most unique shopping and entertainment experience. Responsibilities include:

  • Ability to represent high-end gemstones, diamonds, artisan jewelry and fine art with accuracy and enthusiasm.
  • Work fairly and respectfully with other team members to make sure all aspects of security and inventory are seamless during opening/closing.
  • Perform POS functions correctly with ease. Familiarity with The Edge software is preferred.
  • Assist the gallery director with software tasks as necessary. Must have working knowledge of Excel as we utilize it daily.
  • Create a personalized, positive shopping experience for guests.
  • Merchandise showcases daily with care and an elegant aesthetic.
  • Strive to exceed key performance initiatives for increased store profits.
  • Maintain a professional and well-groomed appearance with respect to varying weather conditions such as rain.

We offer competitive pay starting at $3000/mo plus 3% end-of-season bonus based upon net sales and performance assessments. Must complete the season to qualitfy for bonus. Travel stipend not to exceed $750 each way. Housing is provided aboard a ship cabin inside the cove.
