Position Summary:

Collects and prepares data for accurate forecasting of future capital expenditures and fixed asset depreciation, which supports the efficient management of the Company's capital assets. This position also evaluates investment projects and maintains the eCAR Capital Analysis web tool.

Career snapshot: 

• Coordinate bi-weekly Capital Committee meetings and work closely with Brand Managers to provide preliminary analysis and recommendations for the Capital Acquisition Requests (CARs) that will be presented during that Capital Committee meeting.
• Responsible for all formal CAR documentation, including the administration of the Company's Capital Acquisition Request Website, eCAR . This entails the supervision of the electronic approval process, as well as the opening, closing and amending of all projects, in addition to providing technical support to all users of the application.
• Gather data that will assist with analytical reviews of CAR performance, including Capital spend and return on investment vs. the initial CAR assumptions, with the ultimate goal of providing recommendations to Executive Management.
• Provide an initial review of CARs
• Run multiple General Ledger queries and monitor monthly results vs. forecast through detailed variance analyses
• Aid in the tracking of key milestones and reporting for Capital projects in collaboration with project managers
• Work with the Operating Groups to compile the Company's monthly Write-off forecast by brand
• Liaise with the Operating Groups and Accounting to compile quarterly Construction in Progress (CIP) confirmations and ensure proper application of capitalization policies
• Perform ad hoc analysis as required
• Must have ability to work well under pressure, write executive level reports, administer meetings and problem solve in a group setting while dealing with variety of variables in situations where minimal standardization exists.

Requirements:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including technical and business writing.
• Significant IT knowledge and ability to work in complex matrix environments 
• Hyperion Essbase, Hyperion Brio, JD Edwards World, Oracle Database, Visual Basic
• Advanced in use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word applications
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or other technical discipline
