Position Summary:

The Senior Analyst is responsible for managing and reporting on all activities pertaining to the inventory and effective utilization of our extra crew cabins (ECC's), as well as the shipboard manning process and par level change approval for the Royal brand. This position will focus on cost containment, revenue opportunities, benchmarking, communication with all cross functional teams on the processes and best practices, as well as long term planning. This function is responsible for validating all shipboard par level change requests and their potential impact onto our financial performance and crew berthing inventory, prior to submission to the Executive Vice President of Operations for final approval.

Career Snapshot:

  • Run and distribute all reports related to ECC consumption, such as spill over into revenue staterooms, late cancellations, no shows, loss of revenue, effective utilization of inventory, volume by top consumers
  • Monitor future supply and demand on a constant basis to prevent loss of revenue, manage risk of spill over to revenue staterooms by collaborating with all requesters and adjusting the timing of requests as required
  • Evaluate processes, workflows and tools revolving around Lotus Notes ECC and Berthing Manager tools, booking of ECCs, effective assignment of ECC berths and make recommendations for improvements towards efficiencies
  • Develop & finalize the yearly ECC booking request plan for the following year for the top five consumers
  • Manages the current ECC inventory and approval of any swap of ECC cabins with crew cabins
  • Validate all shipboard par changes requests, focus on financial impact (expense & revenue), impact onto crew berthing & ECC inventory prior to submission to the EVP of Operations for final approval
  • This function is responsible to develop the master par level proposal for all new ship deliveries as well as revitalization of existing ships, and provide senior management with visibility on efficiencies & opportunities via benchmarking exercises

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree from four-year college or university required
  • Industrial Engineer background preferred
  • 3-5 years related experience in financial / business analysis or related field     preferred
  • MS Excel expert level, PowerPoint proficient level
  • Strong communicator is a must (verbal & written)
  • Experience working with Hyperion, Essbase, Lotus Notes proficient, AS400 & Fidelio is a plus
  • Position may require 10% travel to visit fleet as business needs require
