A Fabulous Fitness Instructor Role With A Fabuous 4* Cruise Liner

Please kindly note that this role is only ‘available’ if you already have a valid US C1D visa in your passport. Due to the time-lines of this role starting there isn’t enough time to source one…

Here are the exciting bits:

• Role: Fitness Instructor
• Company: A fabulous 4* Cruise Liner
• Start date: ASAP!
• Ship: Moving across the fleet during your contract
• Contract: This is a fixed term contract of circa 6 months
• Salary: Euro 1200 per month Tax Free (negotiable)
• Bonus: 5% retail commission and 2% on services
• Berthing: Shared cabin with one other
• Reporting to: The Spa Manager
• Required: European passport and valid US C1D Visa…and if you have valid STCW certificates then this would be fabulous too
• Role Overview: You the Fitness Instructor will provide a friendly service to our passengers with keep fit classes, fitness programs, Yoga and Pilates classes. You will be in a team of circa 7.

This fantastic family-run company is well known for quality cruise and a real personal touch for the guests and passengers on-board. There are a number of vessels in the fleet which attract guests from all over the world, but predominantly British and affluent professionals.

You the Fabulous Professional

You will have a US C1D visa already and have most likely worked on a cruise ship previously as a fitness instructor. You will speak and write fluent English, be guest focussed and with proven sales skills. Your attitude will be very professional and your image simply sparkling! You will be self motivated and able to work 7 days a week for a 6 month period with no moaning!

You will be holding the following qualifications…and if you don’t then your application wont’ be as strongly considered:

• Fitness Instructor – level 3
• Gym Instructor – level 3
• Personal Trainer
• Pilates Instructor
• Yoga Instructor
• BCA (Body composition analysis)
• Nutrition
• Minimum 3 years experience as fully qualified Instructor

You will be required to source and have the following:

• Seafarers Medical Certificate - with validity for 12 months at least
• Passport - with validity for 12 months at least
• You will already hold a C1/D visa for transit of the U.S.A as a Seafarer
• Seaman’s book
• STCW - Basic Safety Training certification (preferred but not essential)
  • STCW Personal Survival Techniques (A-VI/1-2.1.1)
  • STCW Elementary First Aid (A-VI/1-2.1.2)
  • STCW Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting (A-VI/1-2.1.3)
  • STCW Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities (A-VI/1-2.1.4)
