Wiebelsheim - Junior Maintenance Manager

PURPOSE OF POSITION

With more than 60 river ships and 3 ocean vessels cruising for example in Europe, Asia and Russia, there is tremendous opportunity to join our dynamically growing company—whether on board our ships or in our corporate offices. For the complement of our technical department we are looking for a Junior Maintenance Manager. After a few introductory months on board and in our office in Wiebelsheim you will be in charge of maintaining and providing the technical status of our vessels in Germany and Austria.

The Junior Maintenance Manager reports to the Manager Maintenance and Senior Manager Maintenance. This position is based in our office in Wiebelsheim, Germany, and includes travels in Germany and Austria. In urgent cases weekend travel and presence might be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Controlling the general technical status of a vessel
• Providing a report for the main office • Supporting the engineers on board for normal operations
• Assisting and supervising during reconditioning
• Visits on board in Germany and Austria

QUALIFICATION PROFILE

• Engineer with wide-spread experience and high versatility in different fields
• Electricity (read a diagram, change basic components)
• General mechanics (pump, vales, pipe circuits)
• Experience and understanding of diesel motors and generators
• Basic knowledge in hydraulics and pneumatics
• Excellent English and German skills (written & verbal)
• Open for new ideas, honest, critical, energetic and enthusiastic
• Flexibility and stress resistance, team player, commitment, positive personality, professional appearance
• Good computer knowledge (MS Office) and basic administrative experience are desired
