Job Responsibilities:

Continually and effectively monitors and maintains the Content Management System (Drupal) and any other feeding sources (such as HOST) to ensure all digital signage and intranet content are broadcasted and published as per established schedules.
- Oversees the uninterrupted operation of the digital signage network, screens and intranet site.
- Continually monitors the content broadcasted on the digital signage screens and published on Intranet to ensure they meet the expected functionality and making last minute changes as required.
- Willingly and proactively partners with ship’s management (via the Customer Services Director) by offering critical feedback about the digital signage content programmed and Princess@Sea content published,
- Routinely checks the Princess Patter to ensure the digital signage and intranet content scheduled for the following day is consistent and aligned as well as proofread all content published via digital signage and the intranet site.
- Assists with the development of new digital signage content as directed by the Customer Services Director.
- Maintains and operates the content management of the Microsoft Surface tables.
- Maintains the digital signage and intranet matrix with any content created or edited onboard.
- Works with the First Electronics Officer to ensure that technical requisitions for maintenance and/or spare parts for digital screens and/or equipment are always opened in a timely manner.
- Communicates with both shipboard and shoreside managers involved with the digital signage and intranet administration.
- Seeks updates from the relevant shipboard and shoreside management to ensure the digital signs and intranet content contain accurate and effective information (i.e. gangway directional information, port times, promotions, etc.).
- Proactively communicates to the Customer Services Director any quality or scheduling issues concerning digital signage and intranet content.
- Effectively prioritizes work to ensure the information scheduled on digital signage and intranet are according to the set times and guidelines.
- Maintains an active interest on all scheduling tools (HOST, F&E Database, the Navigation Schedule, the Gangway Schedule, MIN Master Schedule, etc.) to ensure the digital signage and intranet content are aligned with the product and schedules otherwise set.
- Communicates with shoreside Content Management Specialist and the Onboard Policies and Communications Manager to ensure shoreside management are aware of digital signage and intranet content, technology, and/or training issues that affect the overall operations.
- Keeps accurate, up-to-date voyage notes and content history for future digital signage and intranet content schedules.
- Considers performance improvement recommendations in an effort to improve and develop skills to further their career.
- Ensures customer service standards are met for every passenger and crew interaction, understands and lives the ideals of the Mission Statement, Core Values and CRUISE programs.
- Anticipates the needs of users and takes follow up action accordingly.
- Ensures all user issues are properly addressed and will carry out troubleshooting accordingly in accordance with Hotel Policy & Procedures, company and management needs
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Minimum of two (2) years of previous work experience in computer networking and streaming with a focus on audio/visual.
- Proficiency with Adobe Office (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) and Microsoft Office (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) applications.
- Familiar with publishing content through a content management system.
- Strong understanding of new media visual technologies and presentation best practices (LED, screen resolution, troubleshooting).
- Knowledge of Adobe Flash (CS 5/5.5).
- Strong command of the English language, both verbal and written.
