The Role

The Asset Manager is responsible for all Technology assets ship and shore, including hardware, software, licenses, and contracts. Ensuring assets are look after end to end - from procurement through to disposal.

This newly created position will ensure compliance with IT policies and standards, optimise IT costs and performance, and support IT asset audits and reporting. Collaboration with various stakeholders across Carnival UK will be crucial, in order to align IT asset management with business objectives and needs.

The Asset Manager will be a key member of the Technology Services Team providing leadership and promoting an inclusive, high performing, continuous improvement and service focused culture across the Technology function - working together to deliver an excellent standard of service to both our shoreside and ship teams.

You will:

  • Develop and maintain IT asset management policies, procedures, and best practices. Ensuring compliance with IT asset management standards, regulations and contractual obligations.
  • Implement and oversee IT asset management tools/ processes, incl. inventory, track, monitoring & reporting.
  • Analyse IT asset data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement, cost reduction and risk mitigation. Preparing and presenting IT asset management reports and dashboards to senior management.
  • Manage IT asset lifecycle activities such as procurement, deployment, maintenance, disposal and renewal. (Using tools such as ServiceNow, Dell’s TechDirect & Airwatch to support them in their accountabilities).
  • Coordinating with IT business partners and suppliers to negotiate contracts, licenses and warranties.
  • Provide IT asset management support and guidance to IT staff and business users.
  • Occasional travel will also be required for ship visits.

Our role categories range from CUK15 (entry level) to CUK1 (Brand President) so you can clearly see internal development opportunities. This role is a CUK08 and is offered on a full time permanent basis with hybrid working in our Southampton office (a minimum of 3 days per week office based).

About You

  • To be comfortable writing and owning process documentation
  • Excellent communication skills and with the confidence to present to stakeholders across the business
  • Attention to detail and process-driven in your approach
  • Previous experience of an asset management role, as well as any experience with ServiceNow, TechDirect & Airwatch would also be advantageous but not essential.
