Key Responsibilities
- This Associate Hotel General Manager plays a pivotal part in shaping the onboard guest experience by leading strategic initiatives that elevate service standards across all touchpoints. It serves as the driving force behind the integration of Princess MedallionClass, encouraging teams to use its applications to make thoughtful, guest-centric decisions that enhance satisfaction and support sustainability goals.
- A key focus is placed on resolving service issues at the first point of contact. By analyzing recurring challenges and identifying root causes, the role ensures practical solutions are implemented to improve the overall guest journey.
- Operationally, the position oversees the daily performance of the Guest Services, Rooms Division, Entertainment, and Onboard Revenue departments. It ensures that product standards are consistently met or exceeded through regular quality assurance inspections and active participation in improvement initiatives.
- The role supports onboard teams in planning and executing group events and in-port functions, ensuring smooth coordination and memorable experiences. It also works closely with the HOE Cruise Director and Revenue Managers to optimize the daily schedule of activities, helping guests discover and enjoy everything the ship has to offer.
- In collaboration with the Hotel General Manager, the role contributes to itinerary planning, anticipating potential challenges related to entertainment, logistics, revenue, and guest demographics. It also acts as the GM’s designate for onboard revenue, taking ownership of performance and ensuring financial targets are achieved.
- In collaboaration with Revenue Managers, the role supports the development of strategic and tactical marketing plans based on data insights. It oversees all onboard marketing, advertising, and promotional efforts, ensuring alignment with brand standards and company objectives.
- Team development is a core responsibility. The role conducts fair and timely performance reviews, provides constructive feedback, and actively coaches managers to build a skilled and engaged team. It also monitors the effectiveness of onboard training programs and contributes as a facilitator when needed, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Minimum five years of progressive management experience in a leading hospitality setting with operational management experience in Guest Services, Housekeeping, and revenue outlet operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field from an accredited college or university or the international equivalent (preferred).
- Strong leadership capabilities with proven business and organizational planning, coordination, and execution.
- Quality-driven with a proven passion for building a guest-centric operation, delivering quality service standards, and adopting successful problem-resolution and trend evaluation techniques.
- Ability to manage international staff positively and productively by motivating, developing, and managing employees as they work. Ability to coach and counsel to improve performance, administering the disciplinary process effectively.
- Understanding of the foundation of guest service; ability and willingness to deliver outstanding service to our guests.
- Motivation to excel in all aspects of job duties and responsibilities.
- Personable communicator with outstanding social skills and a warm, friendly, and caring personality.
- Ability to continuously surprise and delight guests throughout their cruise experience.
