Key Responsibilities

• Show lighting programming and operation
  Program, operate, and refine lighting, video, and stage-effect cues for all scheduled productions and events, using our state-of-the-art theatre systems and consoles (including MA Lighting) to deliver impactful, immersive experiences.
• Maintain lighting, video, and effects systems
  Carry out daily checks, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance of lighting fixtures, control systems, media servers, and stage effects to ensure safe, reliable operation across all venues.
• Preserve original lighting design
  Ensure every production remains true to its original lighting design by accurately recreating show looks, updating show files where required, and documenting any approved changes.
• Support world‑class guest entertainers
  Design, program, and operate custom lighting for fly‑on guest entertainers and special events, collaborating closely with Entertainment and Technical teams to meet creative briefs and performance needs.
• Rehearsals, sound checks, and show calls
  Participate in rehearsals, sound checks, and technical run-throughs to refine cues, verify system readiness, and deliver smooth, professional show executions.
• Health, safety, and compliance
  Follow all company safety, environmental, and public health procedures when working at height, handling equipment, and operating special effects, ensuring a safe environment for guests, performers, and teammates.
• Inventory and documentation
  Monitor and record equipment status, lamp hours, consumables, and spares; report defects promptly and support planning for repairs, upgrades, and replacements.
• Collaboration and guest focus
  Work closely with Entertainment, Production, and Hotel teams to support the overall onboard experience, demonstrating a guest-focused approach and a commitment to delivering consistently outstanding shows.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• Professional lighting experience
  Minimum of 3 years’ professional experience operating, programming, designing, and maintaining theatre, touring, or live entertainment lighting systems, including hands-on use of MA Lighting consoles.
• Technical systems knowledge
  Experience with media servers (e.g. Hippo, Catalyst), intelligent lighting fixtures, and stage effects; familiarity with pyrotechnics and other special effects is highly desirable.
• Creative and production-focused mindset
  Proven ability to translate creative concepts into dynamic lighting designs that enhance performances and guest experiences.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented
  Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain high production standards in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork
  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with performers, Entertainment, and Technical teams in a multicultural environment.
• Guest service orientation
  Clear understanding of guest service fundamentals and a genuine commitment to delivering outstanding experiences for our guests.
• Professionalism and attitude
  A warm, friendly, and caring personality, with the motivation to excel in all aspects of the role and consistently surprise and delight guests.
• Language skills
  Good command of the English language, both verbal and written.
