The Traveling EntertainmentTechnical Director (ETDC) is a pivotal fleetwide technical leader responsiblefor providing expert guidance, training, and operational oversight across allentertainment technical systems on Celebrity Cruises ships. This role ensuresconsistency, safety, and excellence in entertainment technical operations bytraveling between ships, supporting shoreside and shipboard projects (includingdrydocks and press events), and collaborating closely with Productionleadership. The ETDC champions safety compliance, crew scheduling, andcontinuous process improvement, acting independently to lead initiatives thatelevate the entertainment technical standards fleetwide.
Qualifications &Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Entertainment, Technical Production, Engineering, or related field — or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 5 years of advanced technical management experience in live entertainment, preferably with multi-ship or touring production backgrounds.
- Strong expertise in lighting, sound, rigging, stage automation, and aerial systems, with solid mechanical and electrical knowledge.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects independently and lead cross-functional teams effectively.
- Experience with crew scheduling, rotation management, and training program development.
- Proficient with digital project management tools, including Smartsheets, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving and team development.
- Previous cruise line or travel-intensive entertainment experience preferred
