Your Purpose

Explora Journeys is a vibrant, cosmopolitan, European luxury brand, imagined in the heart of Swiss hospitality in Geneva. Leveraging our parent company MSC Group’s hundreds of years of maritime expertise, our fleet of six luxury ships (four currently in the pipeline) are being built and designed in a totally different and unique way that will transform and redefine the cruise experience, creating a category of its own, appealing to the next generation of luxury travellers. 

An exciting opportunity exists for a talented Entertainment Professional to join our newly created luxury travel brand Explora Journeys. This role is based in the office out of our Headquarters in Geneva and will be immersed into the onboard entertainment experience.

Your Impact

Continued Improvement, Evolution & Innovation

• Develop and implement the Explora Journeys entertainment, enrichment, and music strategy — creating a new vision that redefines entertainment at sea.
• Collaborate with onboard departments (Retail, Spa, F&B, Art, etc.) to design creative and enriching Luminary Guest Speaker programmes that enhance the overall guest experience.
• Work closely with the destination experiences (DestEx) team to integrate enrichment elements within shore excursions, bringing the Ocean State of Mind philosophy to life.
• Support the management team with special events such as F1 partnerships, naming ceremonies, and private charters — curating bespoke entertainment programmes.
• Manage the Music Concierge contract to ensure the onboard musical atmosphere aligns with the brand experience.
• Oversee and optimise strategic partnerships onboard (e.g. Steinway), leveraging brand collaborations and networks to enhance visibility and global awareness.
• Collaborate with the wider MSC Group Entertainment team on delivery, innovation, and evaluation of the entertainment product, maximising synergies and economies of scale.

Strategic Operational Management

• Oversee the recruitment and training of the shipboard Entertainment leadership team.
• Oversee the team performance daily to maximise potential.
• Own and manage the Entertainment budget.
• Partner with Explora Journeys operations and leadership to continuously review guest feedback and implement improvements.
• Understand the contemporary luxury traveller and competitive landscape to ensure relevance and innovation.

Your Journey so far

• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a senior entertainment leadership role, preferably within the luxury hospitality or entertainment industry; cruise experience is an advantage.
• Highly structured and organised, capable of thriving within a matrix organisation and developing meticulous multi-year plans.
• Strong understanding of P&L management and proven leadership abilities.

• Creative thinker with the ability to innovate and inspire diverse teams.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 50% of the time.
