Your Purpose

Explora Journeys is a vibrant, cosmopolitan, European luxury brand, imagined in the heart of Swiss hospitality in Geneva. Leveraging our parent company MSC Group's hundreds of years of maritime expertise, our fleet of six luxury ships (four are currently in the pipeline) are being built and designed in a totally different and unique way that will transform and redefine the cruise experience, creating a category of its own, appealing to the next generation of luxury travellers. 

The Vice President of Revenue Management will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the brand’s global revenue and pricing strategy. This leader will optimise yield, maximise profitability, and uphold the brand’s luxury positioning across all markets and channels.

As a key member of the commercial leadership team, the postholder will establish and lead the global revenue management function — developing the systems, processes, and teams that underpin the commercial success of an expanding fleet.

Your Impact

Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and implement Explora Journeys’ end-to-end global revenue management strategy across all ships, markets, and distribution channels.
  • Partner with the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams to align pricing, inventory, and promotional strategies with brand and business objectives.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing, analytically driven global revenue management team.
  • Contribute to the wider commercial strategy, providing insight and recommendations that influence executive decision-making and long-term business planning.

Pricing & Inventory Optimisation

  • Develop advanced revenue management frameworks, dynamic pricing models, and demand forecasting tools to drive total cruise revenue.
  • Oversee pricing and inventory management across suites, itineraries, and ancillary revenue streams to ensure optimal yield and guest value.
  • Maintain pricing architecture and discipline consistent with Explora Journeys’ ultra-luxury brand positioning.
  • Analyse market dynamics, competitor activity, and booking trends to proactively inform pricing and promotional strategies.

Systems, Data & Processes

  • Design and implement robust revenue management systems and analytical tools to enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting mechanisms for forecasting, monitoring, and evaluating performance.
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of commercial data across all business functions.

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Impact

  • Work collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, and Guest Experience teams to ensure alignment between pricing, promotions, and brand narrative.
  • Partner with Finance and IT to integrate revenue management processes within enterprise systems and ensure end-to-end data consistency.
  • Present strategies, forecasts, and performance updates to the executive leadership team, clearly articulating commercial insights and recommendations.

Your Journey so far

  • Minimum of 15 years’ progressive experience in Revenue Management within the cruise industry — experience across luxury, expedition, or premium cruise segments strongly preferred.
  • Proven expertise in establishing and scaling revenue management functions for new or expanding fleets.

 

Your Essentials

  • Deep understanding of cruise pricing structures, itinerary yield management, and ancillary revenue streams.
  • Strong analytical and strategic acumen with demonstrable success in delivering commercial growth and optimising profitability.
  • Proficiency in leading revenue management and business intelligence systems (RMS, BI, CRM, forecasting platforms).
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with experience presenting to executive boards and cross-functional leadership teams.
  • Passion for the cruise industry, innovation, and the delivery of extraordinary guest experiences.
