Entertainment Manager

Your Purpose

The Entertainment Manager will lead the onboard Entertainment/Enrichment team in creating a transformative luxury ocean travel experience for our guests.

Your Impact

• Lead the Entertainment/Enrichment department, ensuring a smooth operation, executed to a high standard.

• Deliver an Entertainment/Enrichment program designed to help guests reach the Ocean State of Mind.

• Oversee all aspects of entertainment and activities, including, but not limited to performances, social gatherings, art / photo offerings, chef’s kitchen, luminary seminars, deck activities, games, religious services and Nautilus Club Events.

• Significant front-of-house time is required to proactively and authentically engage with guests and hosts.

• Oversee a clear path of communication and onboard support for Team Members and visiting Entertainment Guests.

• Make Announcement when/as required.

•Embarkation and disembarkation duties as needed.

• Take ownership of guest concerns and follow up in a timely manner.

• Encourage effective teamwork through building trust, sharing knowledge and experience, and promoting cooperation within the Entertainment Department and externally, with other shipboard departments.

• Host Several tables a journey with VIP Guests.

• Coordinate with other department heads to prepare journey planning/schedules.

• Observe and conduct performance appraisals and manage performance opportunities

• Responsible for scheduling a planning and review meeting with the Entertainment and Enrichment department before each journey to examine and address any issues raised in the Guest Feedback Survey and to plan for next journey.

• Optimise use of personnel by managing individual’s working hours and ensuring each team members works within their contractual hours.

• Prepare Journey Reports for the Shoreside Office.

• Holds overall responsibility for the Journeys Entertainment Program in GO by Spark.

• Monitor and approve requisitions for durable and consumable goods.

• Prepare and maintain handover note for incoming Entertainment Manager.

Your Journey So Far

• Proven organisational and leadership skills.

• Successful background as a presenter (on stage or other visual media). Strong ability to deliver Public Address announcements and to present with authority, accuracy, clarity, and charisma.

• Wide knowledge of Entertainment and Enrichment events and activities.

• Wide knowledge of Entertainment and Enrichment events and activities.

• Musical knowledge and instrumentation skills are not necessary but considered an advantage.

• Knowledge of similar competitive products in the Cruise and luxury resort industry.

• Experience in diverse multinational operations.

• Proficiency in Computers. Basic Windows based programs knowledge.

• Proficient in English. Any additional language, particularly European languages, is considered an advantage.

Your Essentials

• Passport, visas, certificates as specified by the company and as required for exit from the port of origin and entry into the destination cruising area.
