Your Purpose
The Inventory Officer is responsible for the end-to-end onboard inventory, including annual KPI and internal audit operations. This role leads the Inventory Team and collaborates closely with onboard business leadership and shoreside stakeholders to ensure operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, service continuity, and financial accountability across all consumables and supply categories.
Your Impact
• Oversee all shipboard inventory operations across F&B, Hotel, and Uniforms.
• Organize and execute weekly/monthly spot checks across key stock categories.
• Audit POC areas (Hotel, Uniforms, SPA, Retail, Entertainment, Beverage).
• Ensure full traceability and accountability of all stock movements.
• Process all inventory transactions accurately in CrunchTime.
• Certify handover inventories between HODs and the Inventory Team.
• Review onboard Master Orders with business owners, ensuring alignment with trends, par levels, and forecasts.
• Submit finalized Master Orders to shoreside teams with complete supporting data.
• Monitor stock levels and consumption to prevent shortages or overstock and communicate risks.
• Resolve delivery discrepancies with Procurement and Supply Chain (credit notes or replacements).
• Manage quality claims to ensure timely resolution with Procurement and Supply Chain.
• Monitor storeroom conditions and equipment, initiating corrective actions.
• Ensure compliant and safe storage of all items.
• Maintain accurate inventory and financial reports, tracking KPIs.
• Provide reporting and forecasts on cost, consumption, and par levels.
• Lead and develop the Inventory Team, ensuring strong performance.
• Define and execute loading and receiving strategy during port operations.
Your Journey So Far
• A minimum of 4 years’ experience in the position or similar with diverse luxury Hospitality and/ or luxury Cruise lines.
• High School diploma.
• Advanced knowledge on food safety
• Basic knowledge ISO 22000
• A background of safe food handling and storage in a similar position in a sanitation-regulated environment.
• Sound knowledge of computer-based inventory systems. Knowledge of Microsoft programs includes but is not limited to, Outlook, Word, Excel.
• Fluent in written and spoken English. Any additional European language is considered an advantage.
Your Essentials
• Passport, visas, certificates as specified by the company and as required for exit from the port of origin and entry into the destination cruising area.
• Food Safety/HACCP certificate required.
