Your Purpose

Explora Journeys is a vibrant, cosmopolitan, European luxury brand, imagined in the heart of Swiss hospitality in Geneva. Leveraging our parent company MSC Group’s hundreds of years of maritime expertise, our fleet of six luxury ships (four currently in the pipeline) are being built and designed in a totally different and unique way that will transform and redefine the cruise experience, creating a category of its own, appealing to the next generation of luxury travellers. 

An exciting opportunity exists for a talented Sourcing Specialist to join our newly created luxury travel brand Explora Journeys. This role is based in the office of our Headquarters in Geneva.

Your Impact

As Strategic Sourcing Specialist you will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for hotel-related categories, ensuring cost optimization, supplier performance, and alignment with operational goals.

Work closely with the Explora Journeys Operations Team to ensure procurement activities comply with Company policies and legal requirements. Understand Operations needs and develop with them a mid-term sourcing plan.

Category Strategy Development:

• Define and implement sourcing strategies for hotel categories (e.g. consumables, replaceable, amenities…).
• Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to identify cost-saving opportunities and innovative solutions.

Supplier Management:

• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
• Develop long-term partnerships with key suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and sustainability.

Contracting & Compliance:

• Lead contract negotiations and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Monitor contract performance and manage renewals or amendments as needed.

Cost Optimization & Value Creation:

• Drive initiatives to reduce total cost of ownership while maintaining service quality.
• Implement KPIs and performance metrics to track supplier performance and category efficiency.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with hotel operations, finance, and other stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with business needs.
• Support global and regional procurement projects as required.

Your Journey so far

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Hospitality Management, or related field.
• You have minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar Procurement role, preferably in hospitality or hotel categories.
• Proficiency in procurement tools and ERP systems.

Your Essentials

• Strong analytical and financial acumen. Calm and resilient with a self-driving attitude.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and influencing skills.
• Perfect command of English; fluency in other languages, with Italian and French being preferential ones, would be advantageous.
• Openness to travel.
