Your Purpose

Explora Journeys is a vibrant, cosmopolitan, European luxury brand, imagined in the heart of Swiss hospitality in Geneva. Leveraging our parent company MSC Group’s hundreds of years of maritime expertise, our fleet of six luxury ships (four currently in the pipeline) are being built and designed in a totally different and unique way that will transform and redefine the cruise experience, creating a category of its own, appealing to the next generation of luxury travellers. 

An exciting opportunity exists for a talented Ground Handling Intern to join our newly created luxury travel brand Explora Journeys. This person will work closely with local partners and several other departments like IT, Marketing and Port Operations, who will give a deep insight into modern technologies and methods of product development. There will be the opportunity to participate in the development and implementation of an innovative product within the luxury travel industry and set milestones for its future. This role is based in the office out of our Headquarters in Geneva.

Your Impact

• Preparing, checking, and regularly updating hotel and transfer manifests to ensure all guest details and logistics are accurate.
• Communicating with Explora Ambassadors via Salesforce cases to ensure all guest preferences and special requests are fulfilled.3.
• Performing UAT (User Acceptance Testing) checks and entering or updating transfer codes in the reservation system as needed.
• Compiling sales data and preparing presentations related to pre-/post-transfers and hotel bookings, using systems like Medallia and Jasper to collect insights and generate reports.
• Ensuring our database systems are up to date with the latest port, hotel, and supplier information by maintaining records in the Salsify system.

Your Journey so far

• Ideally, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Hospitality, Tourism industry or Business Administration.

Your Essentials

• Fluent in English, knowledge of any other European language a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong time/management skills and ability to prioritize work tasks.
• Ability to work independently.
• Structured and well organized with an attention to detail.
• Self-motivated.
• Work proactively with team members, share ideas and information.
• MS Office.
