Job Purpose
An exciting opportunity exists for a talented Onboard Marketing Specialist to join our newly created luxury travel brand Explora Journeys. This role is based in or office in Milan.
The Onboard Marketing Specialist – Revenue Communications & Digital Platforms - leads all onboard revenue-related communications and digital touchpoints, ensuring revenue-generating experiences are communicated clearly, elegantly, and consistently in line with Explora Journeys’ refined brand voice.
The position works in close partnership with Onboard Revenue, IT, Multimedia, and Hotel Operations teams.
Key Accountabilities
Revenue Strategy & Guest Insights
• Partner closely with Onboard Revenue teams to align guest communications with commercial strategies while preserving a refined, non-intrusive luxury experience.
• Monitor and analyse revenue performance linked to onboard communications and campaigns, translating guest feedback and performance data into optimised messaging, stronger engagement, and improved conversion.
Revenue Communications Execution
• Execute and strategically position revenue-focused communication touchpoints across Food & Beverage, Spa, Retail, Art, Casino, Destination Experiences, and Housekeeping, ensuring all messaging is guest-centric, commercially effective, and fully aligned with Explora Journeys’ luxury brand standards.
Digital Platforms Ownership
• Own the accuracy, consistency, and quality of all onboard digital communication channels, including CRM / My Explora App, digital signage, in-suite TV, LED screens, and CMS platforms, delivering a seamless and coherent end-to-end digital guest journey.
Systems & Technical Coordination
• Oversee system updates, enhancements, and integrations across content libraries, My Explora App, onboard CMS, and digital signage platforms, ensuring reliability, visual excellence, and presentation quality.
• Define, implement, and govern standards for CMS usage, in-suite TV content, video formats, LED wall programming, and terminal digital signage.
• Maintain governance, structure, and accuracy of all digital asset repositories, ensuring content remains organised, current, and consistently updated across all channels.
Content Development & Creative Management
• Brief and manage external agencies to deliver brochures, signage, videos, and promotional assets that reflect Explora Journeys’ elevated design and storytelling standards.
• Optimise and enhance video and digital content for onboard screens, in-suite TV, and terminal displays, improving operational efficiency while maintaining a seamless, sophisticated guest-facing experience.
Qualifications, experiences, skills
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in marketing, digital communications, or revenue-focused content management; luxury hospitality or cruise industry experience preferred.
• Proven experience supporting revenue management objectives through targeted communications, campaign execution, performance monitoring, and guest insight analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional European languages are an advantage; additional European languages are an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, Business, or a related field.
• Apply a strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Highly organised and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
