Your Purpose
Explora Journeys is a vibrant, cosmopolitan, European luxury brand, imagined in the heart of Swiss hospitality in Geneva. Leveraging our parent company MSC Group’s hundreds of years of maritime expertise, our fleet of six luxury ships (four currently in the pipeline) are being built and designed in a totally different and unique way that will transform and redefine the cruise experience, creating a category of its own, appealing to the next generation of luxury travellers.
An exciting opportunity exists for a talented, strategically minded, execution-focused and highly organized professional with strong marketing, digital and commercial acumen to join our newly created luxury travel brand Explora Journeys. Acting as critical thought partner to the CMDO while ensuring flawless operations, you will help shape the vision and manage strategic projects, planning and follow-through, meeting governance and tracking for the Marketing & Digital function, based in our offices in Geneva, Switzerland.
Your Impact
- Sparring partner to CMDO: act as a force multiplier for the CMDO, helping craft strategies, translating high-level priorities into actionable plans, ensuring follow-through across teams. You are equally comfortable thinking big and diving into the details, leading with influence, and driving alignment across complex cross-functional initiatives.
- Strategy: serve as a strategic thought partner to the CMDO, helping to shape and execute vision and strategic planning, articulating these into clear, concise and compelling executive-level deliverables
- Planning: translate marketing & digital priorities into structured operational plans, frameworks, next steps and reporting processes that enhance organizational focus and accountability
- Project Management: lead and drive cross-functional strategic projects, from strategy to seamless execution, ensuring outcomes, timelines and stakeholders are aligned
- Governance: shape marketing and digital meeting drumbeat, driving key meetings
- People management: grow team of 2 cross-functional analysts, while above responsibilities independently
- Performance analysis: monitor and analyse marketing performance against brand and commercial KPIs, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement, including reports and presentations for senior leadership. Own the development, tracking and actioning of key marketing and DTC KPIs, providing clear performance insights and actionable recommendations with the support of 2 cross-functional analysts (1 full marketing funnel, 1 DTC).
- Market Insights: maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, competitive landscape and industry best practices, providing insights and recommendations.
Your Journey so far
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field (Masters, MBA or equivalent experience preferred).
- 7+ years of experience as Chief of Staff, consulting, strategy and/or project management roles.
- Prior experience in marketing, digital, or transformation-focused roles a plus.
- Preference for prior experience in the luxury or luxury hospitality/travel industry, a global mindset and a personal passion for luxury travel.
Your Essentials
- Proven experience working with or supporting senior executives in a fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding PowerPoint and storytelling skills — able to craft clean, crisp, high-impact presentations for C-suite audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Fluent in English.
- Exceptionally strong strategic thinking, proactive problem-solver
- Stellar project management capabilities. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive; able to manage multiple workstreams with minimal oversight.
- Experienced people manager. Effectively organizing teams to deliver business outcomes, identifying individual strengths and aligning these with workstreams. Outstanding people management skills, growing individual team members.
- Proven ability to roll-up your sleeves and execute with excellence on the projects you will handle directly (without support from your direct reports).
- Structured, well organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects, thriving in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
- Outstanding collaboration and influencing skills, with proven ability to navigate a matrix organisation.
- Proven analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools
- Strong integrated marketing, digital and commercial acumen.
- Passion and curiosity to continuously learn about the ever-evolving travel industry.
