Join our Entertainment Team at Sea
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Deputy Production Technician (Lights) to support the delivery of world‑class entertainment onboard. Working closely with the Assistant Manager Production (AMP), you’ll help ensure our lighting systems, stage environments, and event setups operate smoothly and safely across the ship.
About the Role
As a Deputy Production Technician (Lights), you will play a key supporting role in the technical delivery of shows, talks, deck activities, and a wide range of entertainment events. You’ll assist with the setup and operation of lighting equipment, follow spot operation, and general technical duties that contribute to outstanding guest experiences.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced position that’s ideal for someone passionate about entertainment technology and eager to grow their lighting expertise within a professional production team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the AMP with the day‑to‑day operation of the ship’s lighting systems and technical equipment.
- Assist in delivering technical requirements for shows, deck activities, lectures, and entertainment events.
- Operate follow spots and help build or prepare staging and scenic elements as required.
- Follow work schedules, instructions, and safety guidelines to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
- Maintain accurate records for equipment checks, cleaning routines, and maintenance schedules.
- Assist with loading and off‑loading entertainment equipment during embarkation periods.
- Carry out additional duties as requested by the Assistant Manager Production or Production Manager.
- Develop specialist skills in lighting while maintaining a broad understanding of sound and stage operations.
- Work collaboratively within the production sub‑department to ensure consistent ship‑wide lighting coverage.
- Support AMP colleagues and other team members to achieve a seamless entertainment operation.
