Job Description

As a Deputy Production Technician specialising in stage, you’ll be part of the team responsible for preparing and supporting all stage-based elements of our entertainment programme. This includes assisting with scenery builds, backstage operations, and ensuring all stage environments are set and ready for performances, talks, deck activities, and ship wide events.

This is a fantastic role for someone who loves practical production work, enjoys teamwork, and wants to develop their stagecraft skills within a professional onboard environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the AMP in the day‑to‑day management and operation of the ship’s stage areas and related technical systems.
  • Assist with stage preparation for shows, events, talks, and outdoor activities.
  • Help build, move, and maintain scenic elements as required.
  • Operate follow spots and assist with the setup and operation of technical equipment when needed.
  • Follow all work schedules, safety processes, and company regulations to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, cleaning records, and equipment documentation.
  • Assist with the loading and off‑loading of entertainment and staging items during embarkation and disembarkation.
  • Carry out additional tasks as directed by the Assistant Manager Production or Production Manager.
  • Develop specialist skills in stage while staying familiar with sound and lighting operations for smooth team collaboration.
  • Contribute to ship wide coverage of your specialist area within the broader production sub‑department.
  • Support AMP colleagues and other production team members as required.
