POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for the safekeeping, issuing, retrieving and maintenance of all Company funded uniforms. Supports the inventory team to fulfill and complete all initiatives related to loading and storing of inventoried items on embarkation day.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Able to do alterations and repairs needed to uniforms, guest garments, Entertainment team costumes and linens.
  2. Demonstrates the ability to make or repair curtains, cushion covers, bedspreads, and all items related to ship maintenance.
  3. Maintains the tailor shop and equipment and do minor repairs of curtains and drapes.
  4. Carry out repairs on soft furnishings to extend the life of such items where possible as per Housekeeping Director’s instructions.
  5. Capable of embroidering of Bath Robes, Pajamas or any other items suggested by the Housekeeping Director.
  6. Responsible for the safekeeping and tracking of all Company funded uniforms.
  7. Capable of executing monthly inventory counts of Company funded uniforms.
  8. Responsible for the issuance and collection of Company funded uniforms.
  9. Assist the inventory team with the loading and storing process of all inventoried items on embarkation day.
  10. Maintain the threads, buttons, needles etc. at par level at all times. Inform Laundry Manager about the supplies required for tailor shop.
  11. Assist the Linen Keeper in distributing the linen to Deck Attendants and counting on Linen Inventories.
  12. Assist the Laundry Team in Linen Chute operations on daily bases as per schedules prepared by Laundry Manager.
  13. Responds to common inquiries or complaints from guests.
  14. Consistently conducts his/herself in a professional and courteous manner.
  15. Communicates on a daily basis with the Laundry Managers and staff.
  16. Is able to work as part of the team and collaborates across all departments.
