Your Purpose

Explora Journeys is a vibrant, cosmopolitan, European luxury brand, imagined in the heart of Swiss hospitality in Geneva. Leveraging our parent company MSC Group’s hundreds of years of maritime expertise, our fleet of six luxury ships (four currently in the pipeline) are being built and designed in a totally different and unique way that will transform and redefine the cruise experience, creating a category of its own, appealing to the next generation of luxury travellers. Explora Journeys' headquarters is in Geneva.

The IT Operations Manager – Digital Channels will be responsible for managing the technical delivery, integration, and evolution of all IT services supporting Digital Channels. He will ensure robust, scalable, and secure platforms enabling customer and guest experiences across shore‑based and on‑board environments. He will lead technical project streams, coordinate architecture and development activities, and ensure seamless integration across digital and e‑commerce systems, guaranteeing reliability, quality, and end‑to‑end delivery excellence.

Your Impact

Infrastructure & Operations Management
• Lead the technical implementation, integration, and evolution of Digital Channels platforms, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, security policies, and business requirements. 
• Oversee the technical delivery lifecycle, from requirements analysis to architecture definition, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. 
• Ensure that digital platforms operate with high performance, stability, and scalability, both on board and on land. 
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring feasibility and optimal technical solutions. 
• Coordinate with development teams, solution architects, and external vendors to ensure timely and high quality delivery. 
• Drive technical innovation, evaluating new tools, frameworks, and technologies relevant to digital customer experience. 
• Manage vendor engagements from a technical perspective, including feasibility assessments, technical validations, and compliance checks. 
• Ensure proper documentation, operational readiness, and knowledge transfer across technical and functional teams. 
• Support incident resolution, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. 
• Act as a key technical advisor for all Digital Channels projects, ensuring alignment with the long term IT strategy.

Your Journey so far

  • At least 5 years of technical project management experience in digital platforms, e commerce, or omnichannel systems (B2C & B2B).
  • Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent. 

Your Essentials

  • Strong understanding of APIs, integrations and data flows. 
  • Experience in CMS, customer databases, and Adobe Experience Platform is a plus.
  • Technical expertise in web applications.
  • Proven ability to manage complex technical deliveries with multiple vendors and cross functional teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal); additional languages are an asset.
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Multi tasking, prioritization, and delivery oriented mindset.

 

Key Technologies    Digital Channels & Front‑End: React, React Native, Angular
Integration & Cloud: API Management, microservices Azure (Functions, App Services)
E‑commerce & Content: Salesforce Commerce Cloud / Adobe Commerce, CMS headless.
Security: IAM/CIAM (Azure AD B2C), WAF, DevSecOps tools
Additional Relevant Skills: Content & Digital Experience: headless CMS, Adobe Experience Cloud.
Customer Data & Analytics: data layer, event tracking, CDP capabilities.
E‑commerce & Payments: Salesforce Commerce Cloud / Adobe Commerce, PSP integration basics.
Hybrid Environments: understanding of on‑board vs shore systems, intermittent connectivity constraints.
