Destinations Experience Assistant Manager

Your Purpose

This role is one of the key positions within the Destinations Experience Team, helping the Destinations Experience Manager to lead the Destinations Experience Department onboard.

Your Impact

• The Assistant Manager is in charge of the front desk and its activities. He/she will be responsible for the proper training of new coming staff.

• In cooperation with the Manager he/she will maximize revenue and minimize operating expenses without negatively affecting product for guest and crew.

• To provide the highest level of service related to tour sales, bookings and private shore activities.

• Implement and maintain guidelines and procedures set out by the Company, with guidance of the Manager.

• The Assistant Manager shadows and works closely with the Destinations Experience Manager. After a certain period of training, the Assistant Manager is expected to possess the necessary skills to fill the position of Destinations Manager when/if needed.

• Trains, coaches and leads crew to consistently deliver superior levels of performance and provide feedback on staff performance to Management.

• Socializes with guests when time permitting and demonstrates genuine concern for guests’ well-being at all times.

• Exceeds guest expectations and ensures complete guest satisfaction.

• Creates and maintains a positive work environment and models excellent leadership behavior.

• Promotes cooperation and teamwork .

Your Journey So Far

• Travel industry and previous shipboard experience as Assistant Tour Manager is required.

• Understanding of the highest level of service within the Luxury Industry.

• Excellent administrative skills.

• Strong leadership skills and practice "leadership by example".

• Outgoing personality, open minded and flexible.

• Ability to work in an international environment.

• Ability to perform well under pressure.

• Excellent appearance and excellent social skills.

• Well organized.

• Computer literacy required. Knowledge of Fidelio and Publisher is advantagous. Basic Windows based programs knowledge.

• Fluent English, oral and written and 2 additional European languages are required (Italian, Portuguese, German, Spanish and French).

Your Essentials

• Passport, visas, certificates as specified by the company and as required for exit from the port of origin and entry into the destination cruising area.
