Asst. Entertainment Manager

Your Purpose

The Assistant Entertainment Manager will be second in charge of the onboard Entertainment/Enrichment team helping them deliver and create memorable lifetime experiences for our guests.

Your Impact

• Second in charge of the Entertainment/Enrichment department, assisting the Entertainment Manager to ensure a smooth operation, executed to a high standard.

• To be completely familiar with all responsibilities of the Entertainment Manager and be able to step into the role if needed.

• Support the Entertainment Manager all aspects of entertainment and activities, including, but not limited to performances, social gatherings, art / photo offerings, chef’s kitchen, luminary seminars, deck activities, games, religious services and Nautilus Club Events.

• Significant front-of-house time is required to proactively and authentically engage with guests and hosts.

• Be prepared to make announcements on the public announcement system, if required.

• Host several tables a journey with guests.

• Encourage effective teamwork through building trust, sharing knowledge and experience, and promoting cooperation within the Entertainment Department and externally, with other shipboard departments.

• Assist with the induction of new team members within the Entertainment Department.

• Responsible for ensuring the Journeys layout is entered into GO by spark in a timely manner.

• Place order for durable and consumable goods based on activity forecasts.

• Prepare handover notes for incoming Assistant Entertainment Manager.

• Ensure the entertainment activities run smoothly, responding to, and following up on any concerns that are identified to ensure that our high standards are not compromised.

Your Journey So Far

• Proven organisational and leadership skills.

• Successful background as a presenter (on stage or other visual media). Excellent ability in Public Address announcements and presents with authority, accuracy, clarity, and charisma.

• Wide knowledge of Entertainment and Enrichment events and activities.

• Musical knowledge and instrumentation skills are not necessary but considered an advantage.

• Knowledge of similar competitive products in the Cruise and luxury resort Industry.

• Experience in diverse multinational operations.

• Previous experience with diverse Luxury/Premium hospitality/cruise lines or Entertainment services.

• Computer literacy required. Basic Windows based programs knowledge.

• Fluent English, oral and written. Additional European languages are advantageous.

Your Essentials

• Passport, visas, certificates as specified by the company and as required for exit from the port of origin and entry into the destination cruising area.
