Engine Storekeeper

Your Purpose

The Engine Storekeeper  manages  and supervises  the  loading, storage, discharge and integrity of the Stores for Technical department in AMOS System and MMS. He /She  maintains  an accurate updated inventory and Par Level of the Stores and is in charge to maintain Safety, Environmental and Sanitation standards in the Stores as per company policy and procedures.

Your Impact

•Ensure the exact feed of AMOS System with all data relative to the goods embarked on board and distribution of these to the appropriate departments.

 •Monitor inventory levels to ensure inventories are within acceptable values and/or at par stock.

 •Monitor all consumable waste/spoilage on board. Is responsible for the control of the inventory (through spot-checks made together with the responsible of each Department). Reports discrepancies of inventories/ deliveries and indicates reasons. 

•Control and monitor all items to be returned to vendor. 

•Check all relevant documentation to verify that is compliant with Customs regulations and MSC standards.

 •Files inventory lists and invoices/delivery notes/Landing manifest.

 •Oversee stores indicated into Standard Procedure 09.04.01.

 •Carry out scheduled and continuous stock counts as per Company requirements and communicate the result to the office in charge on a weekly basis. On office request, it can also request to count items for Deck, ICMT, QandR and SandM checking together with the dept. in charge.

 •Provide, upon Chief Engineer/Staff Captain request, a complete detailed stock inventory. 

•Check the goods moving slowly and informs the responsible sectors in a timely manner.

Your Journey So Far

•Fluent in oral and written English (working and Safety language. 

•Ability to speak and write in Italian is a major benefit. 

•Ability to speak and write in any major other languages is a major advantage.

Full compliance with the requirement of the Law Flag State of the ship regarding Safety and health and physical requirements.Documentation according with STCW
