JOB SUMMARY

This role is central to executing Regent Seven Seas’ creative marketing and branding strategy, overseeing content development, project management, and all print marketing activities.

The Senior Director of Creative & Brand directs all creative initiatives under the guidance of the Chief Brand Officer, Oceania & Regent, and ensures quality across marketing collateral, while supporting content management and brand development for a luxury cruise line. This position partners with the marketing and leadership team to analyze analytics, ensuring integrated marketing efforts meet budget, timeline, and customer goals. This role fosters a collaborative environment by actively coaching, mentoring, and empowering team members, recognizing individual strengths, and encouraging open communication and continuous feedback. Essential attributes include multitasking in a fast-paced environment, strong interpersonal and team leadership skills, creative decision-making, and organizational excellence. This role is responsible for leading a team of high-performing creatives, providing clear guidance, setting expectations, and nurturing professional growth to ensure they are aligned with and execute the brand vision.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Brand Advocacy and Creative Standards

Serves as a champion for brand positioning at every point of contact, consistently upholding the integrity of creative standards and ensuring that all creative output is closely aligned with the overall content strategy.

Stakeholder Collaboration and Creative Advisory

Building and maintaining strong working relationships is essential to this role. The Senior Director acts as a creative advisor and liaison to internal stakeholders, facilitating a streamlined creative process. This includes ensuring a unified go-to-market strategy that takes into account regional nuances and supports local revenue targets, while staying aligned with the overarching global brand vision.

Team Management and Development

Directs and leads a strong team of creatives and manages projects and workflow for team members, providing guidance, creative direction, and career development.

Strategic Planning

Leads the development and execution of a comprehensive creative marketing plan within established budgets. Plans are grounded in benchmarks and ROI analysis of previous successes and current market trends. The Senior Director ensures adherence to production schedules, enabling seamless workflow across marketing and other departments.

Innovation in Marketing

Initiates ideas and strategies to advance creative marketing messaging and ensure alignment with the corporate marketing strategy across all touch points. The role also involves identifying new marketing partnership opportunities and collaborating with team members to share best practices across channels and departments.

Art Direction

Demonstrates a strong aesthetic sensibility and an intuitive understanding of exceptional design. Works directly with in-house team members to execute high-quality creative projects.

Quality Assurance

Holds responsibility for ensuring the overall quality of all creative aspects of marketing collateral, maintaining the highest standards in every deliverable.

QUALIFICATIONS

DEGREE TYPE:

Bachelor's Degree

FIELD(S) OF STUDY:

In Graphic Design and/or Advertising preferably from Design/Fine Art Institution or any equivalent combination of relevant background and work experience.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum 10 years of experience managing a creative organization within a corporate or agency creative environment required. Strong portfolio that includes direct mail, print advertising, digital design, collateral design, logos, multi-media campaigns and video. Fluency in current graphic design practices and web production software, such as Adobe Creative Suite.

COMPETENCIES/SKILLS

The ideal candidate demonstrates the ability to produce compelling, on-brand ideas and designs, with experience in photo shoots, photo retouching, and pre-press—especially for direct mail. They are adept at directing and managing projects and workflow for team members, possess a strong overall understanding of the print and production process, and have advanced skills in design, typography, and photo retouching. This individual is a collaborative professional who brings together various departments and individuals effectively. They are extremely detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to multitask numerous projects under tight deadlines, where there is little room for error. Strong communication and presentation skills, both oral and written, are essential. A positive, self-motivated attitude and the ability to motivate team members are also key. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, the Apple Mac platform, and creative software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign is required. The candidate should have a proven track record of building and developing marketing creative teams, including hiring, developing, and promoting team members. Additionally, they contribute to internal department initiatives, such as updating and creating processes, documentation, and tools. Knowledge of the travel and leisure industry is considered a plus.
