  • Role:                Food & Beverage Learning and Development Manager
  • With:                A MARVELLOUS cruise line company
  • Website:          Website on application – it’s fabulous!
  • Start date:        July 2026
  • Reporting to:   The Hotel GM
  • Stripes:            3 stripes
  • Salary:             $7000USD per month worked
  • Rotation:         4 Months on / 2 Months off (paid whilst shipboard only)
  • Berthing:         Single cabin
  • Required:          You to have full 7 x valid STCW certificates, a new cruise medical (as per company requirements), 2 x recent evaluations / appraisals, 2 x written references.
  • JD:                   On application 

You the BRILLIANT F&B L&D Manager

  • You will have been working as a shipboard Restaurant Manager, Dining Room Manager, Maître’ D, Food & Beverage Manager or similar onboard role in F&B.
  • You to be experienced in the role of L&D Manager / L&D Consultant or similar L&D role too.
  • You to be currently shoreside (most likely) and available to start in July 2026.
  • You to have full and valid 7 x STCW certificates
  • Your CV to show the titles of the courses you have facilitated – heavy on F&B courses
  • You to have the BEST personality ever!

Role Overview

  • The Learning & HR Development trainer is responsible for implementing, maintaining and improving the cruise lines’ training programme.
  • To develop, deliver and evaluate supervisory skills, behavioural management, product and Guest service training.
  • To ensure the results of the training programme creates and maintains exceptional Guest satisfaction, excellent Crew welfare, positive business results and leadership development.  A ‘hands on’ approach is very much required.
  • A key role of the Learning & HR Development Trainer is to encourage ownership of the area of work for all persons.
  • As a key member of the management team, you will provide essential support for personnel within the various departments to ensure that training needs are fully met and that the proposed solutions are evaluated and meet the learner needs.
  • Ensure that effectiveness of training is measured and reported to the Head of Hotel Operations and Head of Crewing on a monthly basis.
