Your Purpose

Leveraging our parent company MSC Group's hundreds of years of maritime expertise, our fleet of ships are being built and designed in a totally different and unique way that will transform and redefine the cruise experience, creating a category of its own, appealing to the next generation of luxury travellers. 

This is a pivotal leadership opportunity for a commercially driven Marketing Director to establish, lead and scale the marketing function across Australia & New Zealand. The role will drive the regional marketing strategy with a strong emphasis on digital transformation, performance marketing, and data-led decision making, ensuring marketing investment directly contributes to revenue growth, brand equity, and distribution expansion.

The role is based out of our office in Sydney.

Your Impact

  • Marketing Strategy & Leadership: Lead the development and execution of the annual integrated marketing strategy across B2C, B2B and B2B2C channels, integrating media, digital media, PR and trade marketing with a clear focus on delivering measurable commercial outcomes. Act as a key member of the regional leadership team, aligning marketing with broader commercial and revenue objectives.
  • Brand & Campaign Leadership: Act as the regional brand custodian, ensuring all campaigns are executed to the highest standard and aligned with global brand positioning. Lead the localisation and amplification of global campaigns, ensuring relevance for the ANZ luxury consumer. Manage the marketing calendar across touchpoints, coordinating across internal teams and external agencies to ensure consistency across all channels and timely execution.
  • Digital & Performance Marketing: Own the regional digital strategy including paid media, search, and programmatic.. Drive a performance-led marketing approach, optimising customer acquisition, conversion, and lifetime value through data, segmentation and personalisation strategies. Provide guidance to the global digital, CRM and social media teams to ensure regional relevance and seamless integration with regional media plans.
  • Media Strategy & Investment: lead the development and implementation of the full media plan, overseeing the ATL media agency, ensuring optimal media mix, ROI, and continuous optimisation and performance tracking, with a strong weighting towards digital channels.  
  • Trade & Channel Marketing: Translate global trade marketing strategy into the regional context. Strengthen distribution through high-impact co-operative marketing programs, enabling partners with the best-in-class digital and sales tools to drive conversion and revenue growth.
  • Customer & Market Insights: Leverage data, analytics, and market intelligence to identify growth opportunities, optimise targeting strategies, and inform business decisions. Maintain a strong understanding of the competitive and luxury travel landscape.
  • Performance & Commercial Accountability: monitor and analyse marketing performance against brand and commercial KPIs across all marketing activity, with a strong focus on revenue attribution, cost efficiency, and return on investment. Provide regular reporting and strategic insights to senior leadership.
  • Budget Ownership & Governance: Own and manage the regional marketing budget with strong financial discipline, including agency/vendor management. Ensure investment is aligned to strategic priorities and delivers maximum commercial return.
  • Stakeholder Management & Global Alignment: Be the key regional marketing lead interfacing with global teams. Influence and align stakeholders across multiple markets to ensure ANZ priorities are represented and executed effectively.

Your Journey so far

  • 12+ years’ experience in senior marketing roles, with demonstrated success at Director level or equivalent.

Your Essentials

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in digital marketing, performance marketing, and data-led strategy, including hands-on understanding of paid media, CRM, analytics, and marketing technology platforms.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of linking marketing activity directly to revenue outcomes.
  • Experience leading integrated marketing strategies across multiple channels and customer segments.
  • Strong analytical capability with proficiency in platforms such as Google Analytics, CRM systems, and reporting tools.
  • Experience in luxury, travel, or hospitality sectors highly preferred.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, particularly within matrixed global organisations.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
  • Flexibility to engage with global teams across time zones (including evening calls with Switzerland & UK).
