You, as the BRILLIANT Sanitation Officer onboard one of these luxury cruise ships, will be reporting directly to the Hotel Director.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as onboard public health specialist; responsible for training ship/island department managers and crew in public health.
- Supervise compliance of USPH and international laws.
- Coordinate USA ports and Captain’s weekly Food Safety and Sanitation inspections on the ship, including random inspections as needed.
- Monitor the vessel Sanitation Program and recommend corrective actions where needed.
- Ensure logs, records and checklists are maintained.
- Train required Officers and Crew.
- Other duties required in the role.
Requirements:
- Ship experience is essential
- 5 years minimum experience in a Food Safety and Sanitation or Environmental Health related managerial position.
- USPH Vessel Sanitation Certificate preferred
- Disease outbreak management and response
- Potable water and swimming pool sanitation is preferred
- Degree in Public Health related field. Bachelor’s degree in food services preferred
- Facilitated and instructed sessions for small and large groups
- F&B Operational experience preferred
- Detail oriented
