Youth Coordinator – Luxury Cruise Line

You, as the AMAZING Youth Coordinator onboard, will be responsible for delivering high quality, individualized and technically excellent entertainment services for guests whilst complying with any Company Policies and towards a goal of achieving total guest satisfaction.

Previous Cruise ship experience is essential.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Ensures a friendly, jovial and positive attitude with children/teens and guests at all times.
2. Ensures the safety and supervision of all children and teens participating in activities.
3. Interacts with children, teens and guests as fits the occasion maintaining guest satisfaction at all times. This includes, but is not limited to hosting parties, trivia, games, karaoke, shore excursions and other related activities.
4. Designs creative activities, implementing entertaining and educational programs for all ages.
5. Demonstrates genuine concern for the children/teens well-being at all times.
6. Organizes and leads youth activities in the designated activity center and throughout the vessel.
7. Staffs the International Desk to assist International guests if required.
8. Hosts tables in the dining room on most evenings with special care given to dining with children
9. Attends the Welcome/First Timers/Venetian/Farewell Cocktail parties and other social events as scheduled by the ship’s management.
10. Embarkation and disembarkation duties in cooperation with the Guest Relations Manager and Shore Concierge Manager.
11. Proactively responds to issues or potential problems quickly and efficiently involving relevant people as required. Communicates any challenges, complaints or service difficulties to immediate supervisor. Keeping the Cruise Director promptly and fully informed of all problems and matters of significance.
12. Socializes with guests when in public rooms.
13. Assists with the induction of new crew.
14. Adjusts schedule and location independently when the overall daily operation changes.
15. Incorporates Company service standards, personalized service and sincere hospitality by creating positive experiences for guests, efficiently engaging with guests and anticipating guest needs.
16. Performs all other duties as requested by supervisor.

Requirements:

• Must have worked on Cruise ships
• Excellent English language skills both verbal and written
• Valid STCW certification.
• Early Childhood Educational Diploma, CPR and First Aid Certificate.
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Education/Recreation preferred.
• 3-5 years’ experience at international 5-star establishment.
• Strong organizational and people skills.
• Creative background.
• Physically and medically fit.
• Moral integrity is required.
