Job Summary:
\nReporting to the Sr. Manager, Content Systems, in the Brand & Communications Department, the Manager, Content Systems supports and leads the implementation and ongoing management of Viking’s content management (CMS), digital asset management (DAM), and multimedia asset management (MAM) systems, as well as new systems as needed. Responsibilities include creating and updating content models, data schemas, and taxonomy structures; troubleshooting related issues; and supporting content-system integrations. This role works in collaboration with other Content Systems Managers and partners closely with Digital Product and Engineering teams, as well as external vendors, to ensure downstream content consumption is documented and implemented accurately. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who is willing to do what is needed to complete tasks while building rapport and facilitating cross-functional teamwork.
\nThis is a hybrid position based in our Woodland Hills, CA office. You will be required to adhere to our hybrid work policy, working from our office Monday and Thursday plus one additional weekday on a weekly basis.
\nJob Responsibilities:

- Partners with Viking Tech and external vendors to prioritize user stories based on current capacity and backlog, and manages product development against the data-entry backlog to support a steady release cadence, delivering the highest-priority capabilities and features, and continually reduce technical and content debt. \n
- Evaluates requests from and identifies needs of business stakeholders and translates these into executable acceptance criteria that meet enterprise brand & technology standards and performance goals. \n
- Assists the Sr. Manager, Content Systems in managing enterprise-wide content architecture and automation initiatives, developing an in-depth understanding of the full content lifecycle and stakeholder requirements for success. \n
- Provides oversight to ensure successful, accurate data imports via CSV or API. Coordinates with the Technical Editor and AEM Manager on content audits, manual content entry, and data hygiene tasks, and provides hands-on assistance as needed. \n
- Performs basic troubleshooting for business users and escalates to relevant tech partners as needed. \n
Required Qualifications:
\n- \n
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field or equivalent work experience, preferably in marketing communications, publishing/print production or digital product management \n
- Demonstrated experience in project management and/or digital product management \n
- Familiarity with CMS, DAM, and MAM platforms and relational database systems; headless CMS or Adobe Experience Manager experience a plus \n
- Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), APIs, and web development languages (HTML, CSS, JS, etc.) \n
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 apps, as well as project management/bug tracking applications like Jira, Trello, Planner, or MS Project \n
- Experience creating technical reference documentation, including annotated wireframes and workflow diagrams, for a cross-functional audience \n
- Ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies \n
- Exceptional communication and writing skills \n
- High attention to detail and ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment \n
