Your Purpose
Explora Journeys is a vibrant, cosmopolitan, European luxury brand, imagined in the heart of Swiss hospitality in Geneva. Leveraging our parent company MSC Group’s hundreds of years of maritime expertise, our fleet of six luxury ships (four currently in the pipeline) are being built and designed in a totally different and unique way that will transform and redefine the cruise experience, creating a category of its own, appealing to the next generation of luxury travellers.
An exciting opportunity exists for a talented copywriter to join our newly created luxury travel brand Explora Journeys for a temporary contract of 6 months, based in our offices in Geneva, Switzerland.
We are seeking a highly skilled and Gen-AI savvy copywriter to shape how our brand is experienced through language. This role is central to delivering a refined, consistent, and emotionally resonant brand voice across all guest touchpoints—from digital platforms to in-suite experiences and global campaigns.
Your Impact
- Creative copywriting and storytelling: Craft compelling, elegant, and brand-aligned copy across all channels. Write high-quality editorial content such as brand stories, destination narratives, and hospitality experiences.
- Precise editing: Translate complex hospitality offerings into clear, emotionally engaging messaging that elevates perceived value. A talent to make the long or unclear: short, simple and impactful, ensuring every word reflects the sophistication, warmth, and exclusivity expected in a luxury hospitality environment. Ability to edit across differentiated channels and large volumes of copy.
- Proofreading: proofread and refine all copy to ensure grammatical accuracy, luxury vocabulary and articulation and stylistic consistency.
- Tone of Voice: maintain a consistent luxury brand tone of voice across multiple assets. Continuously evolve copy frameworks, messaging guidelines, and tone-of-voice documentation
- AI amplification to deliver scale and speed: use AI tools (e.g. generative writing assistants) to enhance brainstorming, editing, efficiency, and scale while maintaining impeccable human taste and judgment to ensure all copy meets brand editorial standards.
Your Journey so far
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
- 5+ years of professional copywriting experience within luxury or luxury travel/hospitality
- Excellent storytelling skills, with a refined aesthetic sensibility and understanding of luxury brand positioning. A strong portfolio demonstrating sophisticated, persuasive, and brand-sensitive copy
- Demonstrated flexibility to adapt tone for different audiences (e.g. B2B vs B2C) and different channels (e.g. Press releases vs. Customer Service FAQs vs In-suite letters, with proven experience writing for digital platforms) while maintaining brand integrity
- Proven experience prompting AI tools across ideation, content creation, and editing to augment capacity and increase output, while keeping strong editorial judgment over final copy
- Familiarity with GEO & SEO copywriting principles
- Proven ability to roll-up your sleeves and execute with excellence
Your Essentials
- Native English speaker a non-negotiable must, native British English speaker preferred
- Exceptional command of English writing, editing, and proofreading
- Structured, well organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects, thriving in a fast-paced, start-up environment
- Outstanding collaboration and influencing skills, with proven ability to navigate a matrix organisation
- Deep appreciation for luxury hospitality, travel experiences, and high-end service culture. Passion and curiosity to continuously learn about the ever evolving and luxury travel industry
- Self-learner, continuously testing and learning with creative technologies and AI-assisted workflows
