Production Manager (Onboard)

Are you an experienced production professional with a passion for live theatre, technical excellence, and leading high-performing teams? We are looking for a Production Manager to oversee the delivery of outstanding entertainment experiences onboard our fleet.
In this exciting leadership role, you'll manage all aspects of production operations, including sound, lighting, stage management, rehearsals, technical maintenance, and live event delivery. Working closely with the Entertainment Director, you'll ensure every production meets the highest standards while creating memorable experiences for our guests.
What you'll be doing
- Leading and developing a multi-disciplined Production team of up to 30 colleagues.
- Managing the technical delivery of all theatre shows, guest entertainment, presentations, deck events, and onboard activities.
- Overseeing sound, lighting, stage management, automation, and production systems.
- Planning and coordinating rehearsals, show schedules, set changes, and technical maintenance.
- Ensuring all production equipment is maintained, tested, and operated safely.
- Conducting risk assessments and promoting a strong health and safety culture.
- Managing departmental budgets, stock control, equipment inventories, and production stores.
- Building strong relationships with guest entertainers, performers, and key onboard stakeholders.
- Supporting the continuous improvement of the onboard entertainment programme and guest experience
About you
We're looking for a confident leader who combines technical expertise with outstanding people management skills.
You will have:
- A qualification in sound, lighting, stage management, or significant equivalent industry experience.
- Previous experience within a live theatre, entertainment, cruise, events, or large venue environment.
- Experience leading and developing production teams.
- Strong knowledge of sound, lighting, stage management, and production technology.
- Working knowledge of health and safety processes, including risk assessments.
- Excellent organisation, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across diverse teams and cultures.
- The ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
