We Are Specifically Looking for Mandarin Speakers
Candidates must be fluent in both Mandarin and English and be comfortable communicating with guests in both languages.
Role Overview
The Cruise Staff hosts and participates in shipboard recreational, entertainment, and social programs designed for adults and families. The role serves as a master of ceremonies, motivating, informing, and entertaining guests throughout their cruise vacation.
Responsibilities
- Host and participate in shipboard recreational, entertainment, and social programs.
- Serve as master of ceremonies for small and large groups of guests.
- Engage guests through interactive activities and events.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while creating a fun and memorable guest experience.
Qualifications
Required:
- Fluent in Mandarin and English.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Master of Ceremonies (MC) or in professional entertainment such as theater, music, dance, comedy, resorts, cruise lines, or the recreation and entertainment industry.
- Strong public speaking and microphone skills.
- Ability to confidently engage and manage large groups of people.
- Experience leading activities, events, or providing instruction to groups.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills and ability to navigate various software applications.
Preferred:
- Degree in Theater, Performance Arts, Dance, Communications, or a related field.
- Special talents or skills that can be offered as specialty classes or activities onboard.
Mandarin-speaking candidates with strong entertainment, hosting, MC, or guest engagement experience are highly encouraged to apply.
