Description
Be the Consummate Host by maintaining the safest navigational watches that comply with or exceed the standards set by Bridge Team Command and Control, and understudying the Second Officer with the safety of passengers and crew always paramount, and in line with the Company’s Core Values.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducts safe Bridge watch keeping, always complying with BTCC, Company Navigation Orders and Captain’s additional orders.
- At anchor ports, always assists the OOW by taking charge of operations at the ship’s tender platforms.
- During port watches, monitors that the ship is always properly secured alongside with safe means of access, carrying out regular rounds of the mooring decks and gangways.
- Always runs a safe mooring operation.
- Understudies the Second Officer.
- Always carries out emergency duties per Emergency Response Organization.
- Assists the Senior First Officer in providing the highest level of Safety training.
- Assists the Staff Captain by performing accurate and timely LSA inspections.
