Your Purpose
You will develop and review Itineraries for the Exlpora Journeys fleet, using professional nautical tools and company developed software to achieve short, mid, and long-term optimization in performing the best Itinerary possible from a Nautical perspective; having in mind the commercial aspect, the timing, the mileage and taking into consideration the optimal engine configuration and relative fuel consumption.
Your Impact
- Assisting in the preparation/study/analysis of future Itineraries strategy, identifying the best possible Itinerary, from a Nautical perspective, using such professional Nautical tools as Navigate, to get the most accurate Itinerary profile;
- Prepares new Itineraries when required;
- Adjusts/Modifies any Itinerary not in line with Company Standard if requested;
- Maintains and updates Navigate and checks its proper functionality;
- Maintains and updates the C-Route software in all its Nautical aspects, including Port Database reporting any anomalies encountered in the system;
- Prepares Maps of the Itinerary for commercial purposes;
- Verifying that the fleet sends all the routes when necessary and cross checks all information is updated included the Ship’s Voyage Schedule in accordance with Company Voyage Planning procedure;
- Managing the Common Route Database;
- Monitoring alignment of the Standard Route with the Route used from the ship.;
- Prepares and delivers monthly fuel performance and nautical data analysis presentations;
- Develops fuel budget reports and presentations to support financial planning and forecasting;
Your Journey so far
- Experience sailing onboard as a 2nd Officer, or Higher, preferably within the Cruise Industry
- Knowledge of Nautical planning strategies and correlated activities is preferred
- Excellent listener and proactive learner, willing to increase own knowledge in planning methodology, technology, and ship performance management;
- Excellent analytical, dynamical thinking and problem-solving skills;
- Proficient in documentation preparation and the ability to utilise Data efficiently
- Excellent English and communication skills combined with the ability to work in team;
- As the job follows the Fleet deployment, it is essential to be available to work outside typical office hours, ex. over the weekend/bank holiday when required
