Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out maintenance and repair work on piping systems, plumbing, environmental, sanitary, pool systems, and related components as directed.
  • Perform tasks in accordance with ISM/ISO, SQM standards, USPH guidelines, and environmental and safety policies.
  • Inspect, repair, and troubleshoot pumps, valves, fittings, and associated equipment; document work and report issues to supervision.
  • Maintain and conserve ship systems in scope (plumbing, environmental, sanitary, pool), ensuring proper operation and timely servicing.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and participate in drills; maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Be flexible to work alternate shift schedules and respond to on-call or urgent maintenance needs as required.
  • Support cost containment through careful use of chemicals, supplies, and equipment; minimize waste and downtime.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and crew members to complete work orders efficiently; perform tasks as assigned without supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications & Training

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience onboard vessels or in a related industry is required.
  • Relevant plumbing, HVAC, or refrigeration certifications as applicable
  • Welder certification (DNV, Lloyds) or equivalent certification
  • Completed STCW and social responsibility training

Language Requirements

Good knowledge of the English language is required.
