Join Holland America Line in a key Laundry Leadership role responsible for overseeing all onboard laundry operations while delivering exceptional service standards to both guests and crew members. 

This position combines operational expertise, people leadership, and guest-focused service to ensure the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and professionalism across all laundry functions.

We are seeking an experienced leader with a strong background in commercial laundry operations and team management. The ideal candidate will bring experience from the cruise industry, luxury hotels, resorts, or other high-volume hospitality environments and possess excellent communication, leadership, and guest relations skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading the day-to-day operation of the onboard laundry facility, including linen processing, uniform management, guest valet services, dry cleaning, and tailoring functions.
• Managing, coaching, and developing a diverse team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Delivering exceptional service standards for guest laundry, valet services, uniforms, and luxury hospitality textiles.
• Building strong relationships with department leaders, officers, and operational stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery across the ship.
• Serving as a point of contact for guest-related laundry concerns and ensuring service recovery issues are handled professionally and effectively.
• Communicating clearly and confidently with guests, team members, and leadership regarding operational priorities, service challenges, and resolution plans.
• Driving productivity, quality control, and operational efficiency within a high-volume production environment.
• Maintaining inventory levels for linens, uniforms, laundry chemicals, and operating supplies.
• Monitoring equipment performance and partnering with technical teams to support preventative maintenance and minimize downtime.
• Ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental, sanitation, and public health standards.
• Delivering hands-on training and professional development opportunities to strengthen technical and leadership capabilities within the team.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Significant leadership and supervisory experience within laundry operations.
• Experience managing laundry teams in a cruise ship, luxury hotel, resort, or large hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of commercial laundry equipment, textile care, dry cleaning, chemical handling, and garment finishing processes.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, coach, and develop multicultural teams.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to interact professionally with senior leaders, department heads, crew members, and guests.
• Strong guest service mindset with experience resolving service-related concerns and delivering positive customer outcomes.
• Ability to prioritize competing operational demands while maintaining high-quality service standards.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment where visibility and collaboration with other departments is essential.
