Key Responsibilities

  • Create and apply decorative painting, murals, trompe l'oeil, faux finishes, and themed artwork throughout the ship.
  • Maintain and restore existing artwork, scenic elements, and decorative surfaces.
  • Paint and touch up public areas, lounges, restaurants, theaters, and crew areas as needed.
  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, priming, and masking before painting.
  • Mix and match paints to achieve exact colors and artistic effects.
  • Produce hand-painted signage, decorative displays, and custom artwork for onboard events and venues.
  • Work closely with Entertainment, Hotel Operations, and Technical teams on scenic projects and special events.
  • Ensure all painting projects meet company quality standards and brand requirements.
  • Properly maintain painting tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Follow all safety procedures related to paints, solvents, chemicals, and work at heights.
  • Maintain inventory of art supplies, paints, brushes, and related materials.

Qualifications

  • Formal training in Fine Arts, Decorative Arts, Painting, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience as an Artistic Painter, Mural Artist, Scenic Painter, or Decorative Painter.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating artistic painting and decorative finishing skills.
  • Experience with murals, faux finishes, sign painting, and decorative artwork.
  • Ability to work independently and in a multicultural environment.
  • Good English communication skills.

Work Experience Requirements

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Cruise Ship, in a 4/5* Hotel or in an Upscale Restaurant.

Language Requirements

Good knowledge of the English language is required.
