Cruise Director

The Cruise Director is responsible for directing the overall entertainment function onboard the vessel and ensuring the delivery of high-quality entertainment programs, activities, and guest experiences.

This position provides leadership to the entertainment team, oversees daily operations, manages staffing and financial performance, and serves as a key host and Master of Ceremonies for onboard shows, events, and activities.

• Two to five years of progressive managerial experience in professional entertainment, preferably within cruise lines, resorts, theatre, music, dance, comedy, entertainment, or recreational industries.
• Extensive Master of Ceremonies experience.
• Strong stage presence with the ability to confidently engage and manage the attention of large groups.
• Excellent verbal communication and professional microphone techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, develop, and manage a diverse international team.
• Strong knowledge of customer service principles, guest needs assessment, service quality standards, and guest satisfaction practices.
• Experience managing the financial aspects of an entertainment operation, including budgeting, cost efficiencies, revenue growth, promotions, and upselling activities.
• Ability to effectively manage staffing and headcount in accordance with business and operational requirements.
• Knowledge of human resources practices, including employee coaching, counseling, performance management, and disciplinary procedures.
• Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, as well as other relevant software programs.
• Special talents such as singing, dancing, ballroom dancing, juggling, or a sports-related background are preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Communications, or a related field, or international equivalent, is preferred.
