As one of the leading innovators in the cruise industry, Princess Cruises is seeking a dynamic Digital Communications Manager (also known as the Internet Cafe Manager) to oversee shipboard retail communication services - including guest and crew internet, mobile phones/devices, and in-cabin phones - while meeting budgeted financial and customer service goals.
This position is located onboard one of our 17 luxury cruise ships and requires fluency in both Mandarin and English.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conducts Digital Basics workshops.
- Maintains supplies, including printer paper, toner cartridges, marketing collateral, technical requisitions for maintenance, digital signage spare parts/equipment, and vending machine supplies related to retail communication services
- Clearly and patiently answers guest questions about retail communication services and suggests new improvements to onboard and shoreside management
- Ensures proper maintenance, functionality, and availability of crew retail communication product vending machines
- Ensure all intranet content is published per established schedule in Princess@Sea and matches with the daily patter
- Regularly reviews actual revenue against budgets and forecasts at voyage level and recommends adjustments as needed
- Develops and presents creative and effective solutions for commonly received feedback in collaboration with the Customer Services Director and Cruise Director
- Advertises and promotes retail communication services using approved marketing collateral and media per
Requirements:
- Associates Degree or equivalent business experience required
- Cruise line industry experience preferred
- Fluency in English and Mandarin
- Customer Service, Marketing/Sales experience
- Ability to perform minor trouble shooting on PC/wireless networks along with proficiency in Excel, Word and other PC software applications
- Strong computer knowledge (wireless internet experience and basic networking skills a plus)
- Internet savvy, sales oriented management ability
- Must be able to work 6 month contracts onboard a cruise ship
