To be a Proud Ambassador by assisting the SSO in monitoring and enforcing onboard security policies and regulations in general, mainly pertaining to guests under the age of 18. To promptly report and correct security issues in order to maintain a safe and secure shipboard environment in line with the Company’s Proud Values.

Job Description:

• Efficiently and effectively executes passenger/crew and visitor control at the gangway during port operations.
• Efficiently and effectively conducts searches of passengers/crew, visitors and all carry-on items for unauthorized/prohibited items.
• Efficiently and effectively respond to complaints regarding minor passengers.
• Efficiently and effectively enforce age restrictions in onboard casinos, nightclubs, gymnasium and pool/spa/Jacuzzi areas.
• Eefficiently and effectively communicate expectations from appropriate behaviour to unruly minor passengers and whenever necessary, disperse minor passengers involved in disruptive behaviour.
• Efficiently and effectively enforce “No alcohol to minors” policy.
• Efficiently and effectively document situations involving disruptive and/or destructive behaviour of minor passengers. Assist the SSO in investigation of circumstances and events.
• Exercise independent judgement within the guidelines prescribed by the SSO and when required, notifies offenders of possible consequences of misconduct.
• Maintain awareness of all activities in the Teen/Youth centres and be able to present these as options to groups of juvenile passengers.
• Work with the Youth and Teen Co-ordinators to provide safe and secure venues for teens only activities and events.
• Efficiently and effectively provide a visible security presence for the enforcement of shipboard policies to unruly minor passengers.
• Efficiently and effectively ensure proper behaviour in the pool and Jacuzzi areas.
• Efficiently and effectively patrol cabin corridors, passageways/stairways, upper decks and other public areas where minors congregate and when necessary discourage unruly behaviour or as otherwise directed by the SSO.
• Promptly and willingly conducts patrols as directed by management.
• As directed by management, promptly and effectively executes ship’s drug smuggling, bomb threat, and stowaway search routines.
