The Role
Working within the Maritime Team here at Carnival UK, the role is responsible for technical support to the CUK Fleet in the areas of Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) and Refrigeration. The role will provide specialist support covering but not limited to: Air Conditioning systems and chillers, ventilation systems, refrigeration plant & equipment and energy efficiency improvements relating to HVAC.The successful person will be:
- Responsible for the material state of ships equipment and systems in the area of specialisation (or project responsibility). Assets including but not limited to: Air Conditioning plant & chillers, Refrigeration systems, cold rooms, system insulation, energy efficiency technologies relating to HVAC.
- Manage and deliver major equipment projects and initiatives as assigned, ensuring comprehensive completion and formal handover to ship managers and ship crew. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks and issues and devise contingency plans as appropriate.
- Management of associated opex budgets; forecasting and variance analysis.
- Attend fleet as required to ensure project delivery
Our role categories range from CUK15 (entry level) to CUK1 (Brand President) so you can clearly see internal development opportunities. This role is a CUK07 and is offered on a full time, permanent position, with hybrid working in our Southampton Office.

Work Experience Requirements
All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Cruise Ship, in a 4/5* Hotel or in an Upscale Restaurant.
Language Requirements
Good knowledge of the English language is required.
