The Role

Working within the Maritime Team here at Carnival UK, the Assistant Superintendent assists the provision, coordination, management, and delivery of HVAC, electrical, marine, or technical operations across our Fleet, particularly during refits. The successful candidate will work within the Refits Team to fully support the refit process and attend different vessels across a variety of global locations. You will work closely with the ship crew, Superintendents, and Ship Managers to ensure requirements are prioritised in order to deliver high levels of availability to meet the overall asset management strategy of the business.

Accountabilities include:

Fully supporting the refit process and attending different vessels across a variety of global locations
Acting as part of the team to provide expertise in support of the ship management team.
Managing and delivering Carnival UK projects & initiatives as assigned, ensuring a comprehensive completion and formal handover to the ship managers & crew
Attending the fleet on a regular visit to review & monitor discipline-specific equipment and systems.
Our role categories range from CUK15 (entry level) to CUK1 (Brand President) so you can clearly see internal development opportunities. This role is a CUK08 and is offered on a full time, permanent basis, with hybrid working in our Southampton office, 3 days per week.

Knowledge of maritime engineering practices, and their safe working practices
Understanding of the regulations related to the maritime practices
