Tailor

Your Purpose

The Tailor's main activity is to issue and maintain all team members’ uniforms, ensuring they are in a very good shape and always representing the Company image. The Tailor is maintaining an accurate monthly uniform inventory and performing uniform and guest item alterations when needed or requested.

Your Impact

• Daily operation and maintenance of the Tailor shop and uniform store, ensuring working hours are adhered.

• Ensure that all team members are wearing the correct uniform as per the Company uniform catalogue, correctly tailored for each body shape and size.

• Produce, repair, distribute and collect uniforms from the stores and before team members will disembark.

• Responsible in maintaining inventory levels within budgets and submit to the Housekeeping Manager correct and accurate in use inventory report.

• For accurate inventory follow the issuing PAR number for each embarking team member.

• Capable to operate and maintain all equipment available inside the tailor store, in a safe manner and able to complete production expectations, in terms of quality and quantity.

• Check monthly or more often if needed, all guest suites curtains, public areas and ensure they are clean and very well presented.

• Monitor the quantity of all discarded uniforms in order to submit an accurate future order.

• Visit monthly each department during the team meeting, for a uniform inspection.

• Ensure the tailor store has always the needed quantity and you are well prepared for each season and crew change.

Your Journey So Far

• High School diploma or similar preferred.

• Previous cruise ship experience in this role.

• For safety and others on board, certain physical abilities will be maintained.

• Must be able to climb, bend, perform repetitive motion and eventually heavy lifting.

• Basic knowledge of Computers.

• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Your Essentials

• Passport, visas, certificates as specified by the company and as required for exit from the port of origin and entry into the destination cruising area.

• Tailor Certificate.
