Your Purpose

In your role you will be responsible for leading the financial and accounting operations of the organization, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial statements and processes. This role plays a key role in managing both day-to-day accounting, while actively supporting the implementation of SAP systems and participation in global finance initiatives. You will collaborate closely with regional and global teams, ensuring alignment with corporate standards, optimizing internal processes, and enabling strategic decision-making through timely and accurate financial insights.

Your Impact

Accounting Operations

• Oversee and ensure the integrity of all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, and payroll accounting.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes in accordance with corporate deadlines and accounting principles (IFRS/local GAAP).
• Manage the preparation and submission of statutory financial statements and compliance with all local legal and tax requirements.
• Coordinate and supervise external audits, including liaising with external auditors and ensuring timely delivery of audit requirements.
• Ensure proper documentation, accounting policies, and internal controls are in place and consistently applied.
• Monitor and implement changes in accounting standards and assess their impact on the company’s financials.
• Lead or support tax compliance activities in coordination with local tax advisors and corporate tax teams.
• Ensure proper account reconciliations and resolution of discrepancies in a timely manner.

Your Impact

SAP & Process Improvement

• Serve as a key local finance lead within SAP environment and optimization projects (FI/CO modules), ensuring proper configuration, data integrity, and user training.
• Partner with HQ Finance transformation & Accounting to streamline financial and accounting processes through automation and digital tools.
• Ensure alignment of local SAP setup with global standards, while addressing country-specific requirements and legal compliance.
• Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in finance and accounting processes.

Your Journey so far

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree, MBA, or CPA/Chartered Accountant certification is a strong advantage.
• Advanced level of English, both written and spoken; ability to interact with global teams and present financial information to senior stakeholders. Spanish language will be considered a plus.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Big4 auditor.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and familiarity with BI/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud).
• Strong experience with SAP (FI/CO) modules, ideally including system implementation, user acceptance testing, and rollout phases.
• Solid knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS and/or local GAAP) and statutory reporting.

Your Essentials

• Experience leading or participating in global or cross-functional projects, especially involving financial systems or process harmonization.
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate key findings clearly.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Demonstrated leadership ability, with experience managing or mentoring finance teams.
