Your Purpose
The Post-Booking Communications Manager is responsible for driving pre-paid revenue from guests in the U.S. and Canada booked with MSC Cruises through direct marketing channels (email and SMS). This role oversees the post-booking communications strategy, ensuring a seamless and engaging guest journey that maximizes onboard revenue opportunities. The Manager will be part of the Marketing team and will collaborate closely with the Onboard Revenue business unit and cross-functional stakeholders to optimize communications and performance.
This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days per week in the office, in Miami.
Your Impact
Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute the overall post-booking communications strategy and roadmap (email/SMS), identifying revenue growth opportunities across pre-cruise products, including drinks, Wi-Fi, dining, spa, shore excursions, and more.
- Collaborate with commercial, promotions, web, and onboard revenue teams to ensure messaging and offers are consistent across all channels.
- Align with headquarters teams to share feedback, insights, and visibility into direct marketing and promotional strategies.
- Create, maintain, and distribute communication calendars, keeping internal stakeholders aligned on timelines, offers, and key campaigns.
Campaign Development & Execution
- Lead creative briefing and provide strategic direction to the Creative team, ensuring post-booking campaigns deliver clear, compelling, and on-brand messaging and design.
- Manage campaign setup and QA across platforms to ensure flawless deployment.
- Oversee segmentation, list management, and personalization strategies to drive higher conversion and engagement.
- Partner with internal teams and external vendors to grow the SMS database and improve opt-in rates.
Optimization & Analytics
- Develop and execute a test-and-learn strategy, including A/B testing, segmentation strategies, and content variations.
- Analyze campaign performance across channels to identify key revenue drivers and inform ongoing optimization.
- Prepare and share reporting dashboards and executive presentations highlighting campaign impact, direct marketing revenue contribution, and growth opportunities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as the primary liaison between Marketing, Creative, Revenue Management, IT/Data, and Digital teams to ensure alignment on post-booking strategies.
- Partner with IT and Data teams to identify and resolve system or data issues impacting campaign execution.
- Support requirements gathering, testing, and QA during digital transformation initiatives, including Adobe/Marketo migrations and SMS funnel integrations.
- Contribute to special projects and strategic initiatives.
Your Journey so far
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in digital marketing, with emphasis on CRM/email/SMS lifecycle marketing.
- Hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms (Marketo/Adobe, Attentive preferred).
- Proven track record of driving measurable revenue growth through targeted lifecycle campaigns.
- Excellent copywriting and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong analytical mindset; ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working cross-functionally in a matrix organization.
